“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” – Dolly Parton
Energy has felt heavy and hard recently, but as we start getting back into our routine, it’s the perfect time to check in with yourself about the changes you want to make. We’ve all been offered a forced reset, so how do you want to show up going forward?
Change is the only constant in life, and getting comfortable with the shifts that happen will help you to stay grounded and at peace.
In this episode of The Elevated Life®, we’re sharing 3 tips to help you create a fresh start, whether it’s a conscious transformation or an unexpected one.
In this video we talk about:
The important first step that many people miss when making a fresh start
Why you should be grateful for your past mistakes
How to use gratitude as a tool for transformation
Why giving yourself a hug can be a powerful way to encourage yourself
This step is often skipped, but it’s one of the most important! Anytime you’re starting something new, you should strip down to the most basic parts of your life.
Take a look at your morning routine, the way you’re approaching your health and diet, and the way you’re running your business. In order to start fresh, you have to show up as the best version of yourself.
Every moment you are given the opportunity to show up as a more evolved version of yourself.
I used to have the nickname “Bitch-ney”, but all of that changed when I started to ask myself “What would a kind person do?” By creating a vision of that kind person in my mind, I allowed myself to transform into that person.
Create that character in your mind and embody it in everything you do.
Anytime you go through a big change, it’s almost guaranteed that you will fuck up at some point. You will fall down and make mistakes. It’s important to give yourself grace, because these mistakes will help you to grow and evolve.
Over time, it will be easier to recognize and correct your old patterns.
Fresh starts are hard, so be easy on yourself and learn as much as you can along the way.
Tune in and let us know in the comments below which tips you’re going to put into practice.
Are you someone who feels everything (especially the emotions and feelings of others)?
It’s a gift, not a curse.
Empaths are some of the most compassionate people. They are the first to lend a hand, be someone to lean on, and help someone in need. They’re our nurses, teachers, and caregivers.
But they also get taken advantage of, preyed upon, and used by people abusing their good nature.
It’s not enough to just sit back and take everything the world throws your way. You’ll burn out and eventually resent the work you were put here to do.
That’s why we’re so excited to arm you with our strategies for reclaiming your power, standing up for yourself, and taking charge of your mental and emotional health.
