Juicing has been an important part of my journey to wellness over the past 4 years. I spent most of my life overweight and struggling to find the right “diet” for me. I realized that to maintain a healthy body, you must maintain a healthy lifestyle. Mind. Body. Spirit.
If you’re not familiar with the outstanding benefits of juicing, some include increased energy, instantly absorb loads of nutrients, and boosts brain function.
Juicing is a great way to detox the body and cleanse it of impurities, but I like to drink a daily juice to allow me to get all the nutrients I need and continue the health benefits. It’s almost impossible to eat that many veggies in one sitting, but with juicing you can easily get all the nutrients into your body quickly.
The thing that turned me on to juicing was the idea of raising my pH. I discovered that eating a plant-based diet helped to raise my body’s pH and potentially prevent all kinds of unwanted illness.

This is the Hamilton Beach Juicer that I’ve used for the past 4 years. I’ve tried the masticating juicers and a few other cheap-o’s in the past, and this one is still by far my favorite juicer. It’s easy to clean, well priced, and has a 3″ wide mouth to allow for large veggies without having to spend time cutting them to fit.
