My chemical-free makeup routine begain back in 2013 when I stumbled upon two life-changing companies committed to clean beauty – EWG Skin Deep that rates how toxic your makeup is, and the Think Dirty app that allows you to scan barcodes of your personal care products to see toxicity levels.

Considering you absorb 80% of whatever you put onto your skin, I was disgusted to discover that my lotions and potions were filled to the brim with some BAAAAADDD stuff.

No bottle went unturned in my bathroom. If I couldn’t pronounce the ingredient – it was GONE! I was disappointed to think of the high priced investments we make into these crazy products pumped full of chemicals. After throwing out everything from perfume to lotion to $30 mascara, I was NOT going to give up my hope on finding green beauty. 

After years of trying and testing out different brands who actually give a shit about your skin, I found my most favorite brand EVER!! Let me introduce to you 100% Pure!!!

Working in the beauty industry for over a decade, I get asked all the time what the latest trends in the beauty world are.

I’ve become more aware of what’s going on behind the scenes and upon taking a deeper look, I’ve found major companies performing animal testing and using man-made chemicals that can cause cancer! So now we see a culture of green beauty emerging again. Before all this man-made stuff, humans turned to mother nature’s beauty to help enhance our own.

Why in the world would we use toxic products when they charge us an ARM & LEG for them and not consider looking back to nature for the cure? Everything man is trying to imitate is naturally found in Mother Nature. Well, 100% Pure has. Their products contain fruit pigment dyes, absolutely no toxins, and OMG does it work! (I also caught wind that they will soon be 100% VEGAN too! YAY!)

CLEANSE + PREP

Eucalyptus Seafoam Scrub // This is my true blue. I use this gentle scrub daily. The minty freshness is the perfect cool morning kiss I need to start the day off feeling invigorated!

Richly foaming, detoxifying blend of seaweeds, invigorating mint essential oils, skin softening rosehip oil and green tea washes away Fruit Dyed Makeup and other impurities.

Blood Orange Cleansing Balm // This is one of their newest products and I’m obsessed. It’s perfect for taking off my liquid eyeliner and mascara. This is definitely a thicker feeling product, but leaves your skin feeling soooooo soft!

This delicious orange-scented cleansing balm gently cleanses while leaving skin soft and supple. Organic coconut and olive oils melt into a silky oil texture on contact and sweep away stubborn makeup, debris, and impurities. Simply wipe away the cleansing balm with a warm damp cloth and rinse.

Ginseng-Collagen Boost Mask // Such a fun mask to walk around the house and scare my cat  Noodles with! I love the tightness and softness of my skin after using the mask. (It’s just as soft as my hairless kitty’s skin! LOL!)

Ginseng is a highly anti-aging, skin revitalizing root packed full of phytonutrients. Ginseng increases collagen production for firmer, more elastic skin. The mask material “hydrogel” is composed from 95% organic aloe water) and 5% plant cellulose made to intensely hydrate. The longer you leave the mask on your skin, the thinner the hydrogel mask becomes because the water gets absorbed. The hydrogel assists in delivering active ingredients onto your skin.

Vitamin C Serum // Luuuuvvv this stuff as a gentle peel. The acid in Vit C are great for removing the top layer of damaged skin!! Doesn’t sting like harmful retinol.

Stable, potent Vitamin C boost for all skin types to encourage collagen production, brighten skin tone and to stimulate cellular renewal. Lightweight and absorbs quickly. Use on clean skin, under other treatments or alone.

 

Konjac Sponge: Charcoal // I use this little guy to help shrink my pores and remove nasties that get caught up in ’em.

An all natural sponge made from 2 simple ingredients: detoxifying konjac plant and bamboo charcoal. This soft sponge helps to draw dirt, oil, cosmetics, environmental pollutants and other impurities from facial pores, while buffing away dead skin cells, bumps and flakes for a smoother complexion. So gentle, it’s suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

Mattifying Primer // A must have for when I’m working behind the chair. This stuff keeps my skin from looking like a grease ball. I also love it because it smoothes out my pores and makes for the perfect moisturizer and primer in one!

Silicone free primer infused with skin plumping seaweed collagen makes cosmetic application flawless and last longer; fills in lines for smoothness while keeping excess shine away.

Makeup Blender // You’re living in a cave if you haven’t seen one of these cuties before. This blender ball helps to smooth out your foundation or tinted moisturizer. (I won’t lie though, sometimes I use my hands!)

This latex free, odor free Fruit Dyed Makeup blender will produce a seamless, natural, dewy finish. Use the pointed side for hard to reach places like around the nose and under the eye and the round side for the base of your foundation and/or blush for the cheeks. Unique teardrop design allows you to reach even hard-to-reach spots like around your nose and under the eye.

Bamboo Blur Tinted Moisturizer: White Peach // This is their newest product and it’s PERFECT. This is like Photoshop in a bottle! It literally blurs out the pores. It’s super light weight with GREAT coverage. Happy happy girl.

Keep skin hydrated and supple while providing lightweight coverage from natural fruit and vegetable pigments with 100% Pure’s Bamboo Blur Tinted Moisturizer. Fruit Pigmented Foundation Powder: White Peach // GO-TO! This is my favorite plant based powder I’ve ever come across. Buildable. Great coverage. Looks perfect by itself. I use this on days when I’m rushing out the door and need a quick lighten and brighten to my face!

Fruit Pigmented Blush: Pretty Naked // Trust me – it’s not that dark in person! I love this blush color to give a warm glow with a hint of rose. I love this one so much that I’ve never even messed with another color.

This fruit pigmented blush makes you sparkle and shine! This blush is colored with antioxidant and vitamin rich fruit pigments instead of minerals or synthetic dyes.

Gemmed Luminizer: Rose Gold // Another newish product from Pure. This is the perfect answer for Goddess glowing skin. It leaves the most gorgeous shimmer everrrr. It’s like I’ve been kissed by a fairy!

Long Last Liquid Eye Liner: Blackberry // On the glad days, you bet I’m wearing this stuff. I absolutely love the color and the coverage. It lasts all day without smuding. #obsessed

Maracuja Mascara: Blackberry // Finally a mascara that makes my lashes feel fabulous! I love how easy to remove this mascara is. In a perfect world, it would look like I have fake Hollywood lashes on, but the point is going GREEN! Love the blackberry color!!!
