4 Things To Try When You Feel Overwhelmed
Drop Every Non-essential Commitment You Have
To live a truly fulfilling life, it’s crucial to let go of all non-essential commitments that don’t serve our highest purpose. That means saying no to social events that aren’t aligned and excess TV watching, and prioritizing self-care time. It’s all about going back to the basics and taking care of our fundamental needs such as good food, adequate sleep, and hydration with mineral-rich water. By simplifying our lives, we can find more joy and contentment by focusing on what truly makes us happy. Instead of getting caught up in anger and negativity, we can choose to channel our energy towards positive pursuits that align with our values and goals.
Unplug from all External Triggers
In today’s world, we are constantly bombarded with external triggers that can cause stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. We often turn to social media to distract ourselves from the chaos, but in reality, it only adds fuel to the fire. Instead of aimlessly scrolling through social media, we should turn it off and prioritize our mental health. Take a moment to look at your screen time and see how much of your day is spent on your phone. Unplugging may seem difficult, but it’s worth it for the peace of mind and clarity it can bring.
Switch Up Your Environment
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, it’s time to switch things up and introduce some new stimuli. A great way to do this is by taking a walk outside or doing something different. By doing this, you’re not only getting some exercise and fresh air, but you’re also creating space between overwhelming thoughts. Thoughts can be a major source of stress, so it’s important to give your brain a break from them. So, grab a friend or loved one, take a stroll, focus on your breathing, and enjoy the moment. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel!
Brain Dump Your Thoughts
When we’re feeling overwhelmed, our minds can become cluttered with a barrage of ideas, tasks, and responsibilities, making it difficult to focus on any one thing. That’s where brain dumping comes in. When you give yourself permission to just let it all out, you free up space in your mind for new perspectives and fresh ideas. Imagine clearing out all the noise and clutter from your mental channels, so you can focus on what truly matters. By making a list of everything that’s been weighing you down, you can start to assess what you can change and what’s out of your control.

Take a look around for a second. Do you realize almost everything you see was created by someone?
We are incredible beings with extreme potential. We’ve invented vehicles to explore every inch of the Earth, built a global communication system to connect instantly with people continents away, and taken the dreams of our ancestors and made them reality.
We’re more than capable, but we’re also delicate. In a time where we’ve achieved so much, we’re also more disconnected from ourselves. The price of always staying ‘on’ and giving each action our best is the accumulation of stress, overwhelm, and anxiety.
We’ve forgotten the most important part of feeling, doing, and being our best is RECOVERY.
With experts now calling stress the Silent Killer, it’s no surprise the impact it has our relationships, our career, home life, and mental and physical health.
That’s why we’re excited to help you perform your best and bring you back home to yourself so you can thrive in the Recovery Masterclass! 🚀
