“Confidence is beautiful. No matter your size – no matter your weight – YOU are beautiful. Have the courage to BE YOURSELF and you’ll always be beautiful.” -Brittney Carmichael
Have you ever gotten ready in the morning and heard crazy inner “mean girl” thoughts like “You can’t wear that” or “You’re too fat for that” or even “Wow size [fill in the blank] isn’t good enough.”
WOW! Crazy mean girl, huh?
In this video, I’m going to chat with you about the crazy “mean girl” thoughts that were running through my head as I was getting dressed for the day. It’s SOOOO important to begin noticing how your inner critic is either lifting you up or tearing you down.
Did you notice any thoughts going on while you were getting dressed this morning?
I want to remind you:
“Your value is NOT determined by your dress size!” [Tweet it!]
Watch below to get inspired to stop letting your size dictate your worth!
You are an amazingly beautiful being.
The more you celebrate YOU – the less the numbers on the scale and size of your dress will contribute to your confidence!
If this video resonated with you, please share this inspiration with your besties. Us females could ALL use some motivation to cultivate confidence from within, don’t ya think?
Now, I wanna hear from you: Are you putting too much value in the numbers and not in yourself?
Sick of your inner mean girl? I’m going to show you how to let go of the fear that holds you back from embracing your unique authentic self in my FREE video series: Awaken Your Authentic Self
Thanks for sharing! Also something I wanted to add to this conversation is that after studying fashion design and working a lot with clothing production I have learned that all brands and companies have their own sizing and patterns! A small for one company could be a large to another, so it is utterly silly to judge yourself based on what size dress or clothing you fit into. Choose the one that fits YOU well and makes you feel the most beautiful! All smalls are not equal and all xlarges are not equal so don’t even worry about it! Choosing a larger size with a better fit can actually make you look smaller that squeezing into that xsmall anyways. All sizes and shapes are beautiful 🙂
Thanks for sharing this info!!! It breaks my heart to think women still place their worth in a number. With this kind of truth, we can now reclaim our power and love ourselves fully! xo
Loved this reminder, Brit! I take a range of sizes not only in clothes, but in shoes and gloves and hats. I don’t trash my head, hands or feet, so why should I “mean girl” my body? Like you say, it’s just a number or a letter…a random guideline based on who-knows-what…that’s all! Your shining light is beautiful!
Thank you so much for sharing Kasandra! You’re totally right about all the accessories being sized too! We MUST ditch the number! 🙂 xo
Loved this so much!
I think not letting the size matter is and will always be a constant struggle for women. But we all need to remind each other it doesn’t define us. Thank you for doing just that.
Love you. Love this. #shinetribe
Love this video, Britt! One of my favorite things to do is notice all of the variations in people I think are beautiful and remind myself that it is not a one-size-fits-all world.
