How to Stay Consistent with Your Goals
Set Reminders and Alarms
Your phone can help you stay accountable. Think of it like your coach telling you things you need to do at a certain time. When that alarm goes off, that springs you into action. You can’t just look at your phone to turn off your alarm clock. You need to start moving and do the things you need to do.
Break Into Smaller Goals
Looking at your bigger goals can overwhelm you. That’s why most people quit showing up because they think achieving their goals is so big and unrealistic. You need to be very clear with your goals and break them down into smaller achievable goals. But don’t forget to celebrate small wins! This will keep you motivated throughout the process.
Give Yourself Grace
Don’t pressure yourself too much. It takes succeeding and failing a bunch of times before you figure out how hard you can really push. It’s important to figure out when to go full-blown or take a rest. Respect your pace because there are goals that might take longer to achieve than you expect.
Be Confident With Your Self-Image
How you show up in your head is how you will show up in real life. It’s all about the mindset you bring to the circumstance. You’ll project competence and confidence when you have faith in yourself. Improving your self-image is a key to consistency because the person you were when you started the goal is not the person you had to become to finish.
