When you’re looking at what the next step is in your life or how you can make a big change, it’s always about simplifying. It’s about being extremely simple, because when we add too many steps, we make it too tough for ourselves.
This is why the 7 or above rule is so powerful, because it is a tool to simplify every decision in your life. On a scale of one being awful, and ten being amazing, if it’s not a seven or above, it’s a hell no. You don’t have to do it! Delete it, delegate it, or find a way to reframe your mindset, to enjoy whatever it is you have to do.
Applying the “7 or Above” Rule in Your Daily Life
The 7 or above rule is not just something that you look at and apply to just one piece of your life. It comes down to what clothes you wear, the people that you want to wake up every day and serve, the kind of work that you actually want to do, and the kind of money that you want to be making.
Remember, It’s always fine to say no. It’s always fine to tell people you’ve got boundaries.
The “7 or Above” Rule Month Challenge
Look deep into your life and ask yourself, “am I living 7 or above?” If you realize that you aren’t, try it out for a while. Do all this as practice and an experiment for the next month. Decide that you are going to live by 7 or above in every way possible that you can. For the things that aren’t above a seven, figure out a plan so that you can move them and feel different about them.
