Are you ready to start the new year with a bang?

A couple of months ago, we talked about how we were going to end the last 90 days of 2019 with intention by taking time to rest. Now that we’ve taken that time, we feel energized and ready to launch into a powerful new decade of transformation.

Today we’re sharing our secrets for making 2020 the best year yet. There are some key things that you need to prioritize to become more effective, focused, and productive. In this episode of The Elevated Life®, you’ll learn 5 simple strategies you can implement to step into your magic and reach your full potential in 2020.

1. Reflect on Your Accomplishments

We’re ending an entire decade right now, and you have accomplished so much! 2020 is inviting you to step into your authentic self, but before you do, make sure to look back on how far you’ve come.

What obstacles have you overcome?

Have you had growth in your career or business?

Have you reached a new level of connection in your relationships?

Without celebrating your wins, you might not have the motivation to push forward in the new year.

So go ahead and reflect on how badass you really are!

2. Make a Plan

Decide what you want to put your time and energy into. A good way to determine that is to take a look at your life and notice if there’s anything missing. Then find a way to incorporate it in.

Our top secret tip: use someone else’s plan!

Why start from scratch when someone else has probably already accomplished exactly what you hope to accomplish? Seek out those who have already found success in the areas you desire, find out how they did it, and then sprinkle your unique sparkle-magic on it!

3. Prioritize Your Health

People ask me all the time – “How do you do it all?” and I always let them know it’s because I prioritize my health so I have an abundant amount of energy.

If you aren’t healthy and you don’t have energy, you are not going to accomplish your goals!

It’s important to think long-term, instead of starving yourself or hitting the gym hard for a week and then burning out. Even committing to 15 minutes of walking every day can have a tremendous effect on your health!

4. Abandon Everything That Isn’t Working

There are so many aspects of our lives that we need to take responsibility for – like our jobs, our location, our relationships, etc. If something isn’t working for you anymore, it’s time to make a change.

Even small changes in any of these categories can make a big difference!

5. Implement the 7 or Above Rule

This strategy has helped Chris and I stay true to our authentic selves and eliminate the guilt that comes with saying “no” to things that do not feel aligned.

Here’s how it works: On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being awful and 10 being absolutely amazing, say no to anything less than a 7.

Using this strategy will allow you to stay truthful, and keep you from committing to things that won’t take you where you want to go.
